The short one
Of the three airports that serve Lake Garda, Verona is by a distance the closest. Verona to Sirmione is about 32 km and roughly 28 minutes by road. For comparison, Bergamo to Desenzano is about 79 km and about 50 minutes and Milan Malpensa about 160 km and about 2 hours, more like 2 to 3 hours to the farther shores. If your flight options are close in price, that difference is worth real money in taxis and temper.
The southern and eastern shores — Sirmione, Peschiera, Lazise, Bardolino, Desenzano — are all in the same easy bracket from here. The northern end at Riva del Garda is a much longer drive up the lake, so give us the exact address and we will quote the actual journey rather than a lake-wide average.
Price, and what it includes
