The easiest wine morning on the lake
Bardolino sits on the eastern shore with its vineyards immediately behind it, in the hills that rise off the waterfront. You do not need a day for this. You need a morning, a driver and an appetite.
Two estates anchor the town. One at Strada Campazzi also holds vineyards in Valpolicella and Soave and offers a no-reservation express tasting alongside its booked tours; the other, on Via Costabella, runs a wine museum and an olfactory gallery next to the cellar. Between them they cover both kinds of visitor — the one who wants the technical tour and the one who wants an hour with a glass and something to look at.
What it costs
The Bardolino estates do not publish their tasting prices; like the Lugana cellars across the water, visits and tastings are quoted on request. We ask the ones with space on your date and send you their own figures with the pours and the timings written out. Nothing is held until you say yes.

Getting between the cellars
Two tastings and a lunch means somebody is not driving. Italian private transfers run under the NCC regime, which is pre-booked only and handled by a licensed local company, so a car for the afternoon is something to arrange with the wine rather than after it. Say in your message if you want the driver and we will price the whole day together.
Wine and water in the same day
Bardolino works as a wine town and a boat town at once. Boats leave from Lungolago Cipriani and Punta Cornicello, and the licence-free rental fleet here — boats under 40 hp that need only ID, seating 5 to 7 — runs 100 to 330 EUR per hour including fuel in a season of 1 April to 31 October. Tasting in the morning, swimming in the afternoon, is the honest best use of a day here.
Season, harvest and moving a booking
The lake season runs April to October; harvest falls in September, when the cellars are at their most interesting and their least available. If a visit has to move, the lake norm is free cancellation 24 to 48 hours ahead, and you get the estate’s actual terms in writing with your confirmation.
