The long approach from the south
Venice Marco Polo is the usual long-haul and UK arrival for the Dolomites, and Val Gardena is the far end of a proper drive. Our working figure is roughly 190 to 210 km and about 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes — an estimate derived from the route, not a published operator time, so treat it as an approximation and expect a realistic figure from the driver for your date. The last part is a mountain road, and in January that matters more than the motorway that precedes it.
