The shortest road in
Innsbruck is the closest usable international airport to Val Gardena. The published route runs about 120 km and roughly 1 hour 45 minutes to Selva, though one local company claims 1 hour 10 to 1 hour 30 for the same run — a wide enough spread that you should treat any figure on any website, including this one, as an approximation rather than a promise. The road crosses the Brenner and drops into the valley from the north, which is fast in good conditions and slower than anybody’s estimate on a snowing Saturday in February.
Val Gardena means three villages — Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva — and the drop-off differs accordingly. Chalet addresses up the side of the valley are where local knowledge earns its money after dark.
Per vehicle, not per seat
Private transfers here are priced for the car, so party size and luggage decide the band rather than headcount alone.
