North instead of west
Fornells sits about 31 km from the airport, normally around 30 minutes on the Me-1 and up through the middle of the island; one transfer estimate of about 70 minutes is an outlier that research could not reconcile. In practice it is a short, easy run to a village that feels a long way from a resort.
It is also a quieter transfer route than Ciutadella or Cala Galdana — the searching around it is thin, essentially the taxi phrasing plus the beach name. That is a fair reflection of the place: fewer arrivals, smaller properties, more people who came for the water rather than the pool.
Why there is no price on this page
Menorca publishes official taxi tariffs for its main airport routes, but the Fornells run is not on the table, and the only figure research found was an unverified listing — so no fare for this route can honestly be printed until a licensed company quotes it. We would rather tell you that than borrow a number from somewhere else. For scale, the published tariffs on the routes that do appear run from about €15 to €17 into Mahón up to about €57 by day for Ciutadella.
The capacity rule applies here as everywhere on the island: taxis may not legally carry more than 4 passengers, and any child counts as one of the four, while booked fleets run from cars up to coaches of 59 seats.
Child seats, and who drives
Island taxis do not carry child seats and expect parents to bring and fit their own, while booked private transfer companies do advertise them; Spanish law requires restraints for younger children. Send ages and weights with your request.
Booked private transfers run under VTC private-hire licences, while taxis are municipally licensed with the four-passenger cap. We arrange and confirm with a licensed local company, track the inbound flight, and stay your contact; the vehicle and driver are theirs. Cancellation terms are not published by the island’s transfer companies, so we get yours in writing per booking.
One useful extra from this side of the island: a transfer company here sells Camí de Cavalls stage transfers, dropping walkers at the start of a stage and collecting them at the far end.
What Fornells is the base for
The north coast. Two catamaran and sailing businesses share the same seafront address in the village, at the gateway to the northern marine reserve — see the boat charter from Fornells or the shared north-coast boat tour. The whole island is on the Menorca overview, and other regions on the airport transfers page.
Request availability with your flight number, the address in Fornells and the ages of any children — a real quote from a licensed company comes back, and nothing is booked until you say so.
